Ambatomanga is a must-see place just 38km east in of the capital. Like the peripheral highlands, Ambatomanga is a unique site that hides well-preserved historical secrets. You have to go there to know them!
During the next hike, visitors will finally know the peculiarities of this small locality. First there is its valley of Iadiana considered sacred by the villagers, then there are the legendary peaks of Angavokely and Angavobe, revealing impressive and unique heights.
According to the story, Ambatomanga is the border between Imerina and Bezanozano. To the east, you can reach the coastal area occupied by the Betsimisarakas.
Continuing your tour of Ambatomanga, you will reach the village of Ankadimanga which houses the tomb of Ramiangaly, 7th wife of King Andrianampoinimerina. Ankadimanga is a well-preserved locality with a sacred lake and beautiful traditional houses. You have to go through the two large disk-shaped doors to enter the village.
