For information, know that the protected area of Ankarafantsika covers 136,513 hectares of land sherltering 130 species of birds, 8 species of lemurs, 18 species of fish and 75 species of reptiles. The second largest rice granary on the Big Island, it also has 6 sacred lakes and 875 different plant species.
