Bird safari to the west: An Unmissable Rendezvous in October and November

Bird lovers? Get ready because the bird safari will take place at the end of October until the beginning of November!  

What is this event? First of all to enhance Madagascar's ornithological wealth and to let the world know that the big island is a destination conducive to birdwatching. According to experts and observers, Madagascar has so far 120 endemic bird species that attract a good number of tourists each year.


Bird Safari: To discover an exceptional avifauna 


The bird safari that will take place in Majunga is an appointment not to be missed, especially for those who are passionate about birds and who wish to discover a concentration of birds on one place. Photographers and observers will also be on hand to capture the event.

This 2019 edition will be titled " Sterna bengalensis," the name of a bird endemic to the Boeny region. It will be one of the locally observable birds along with other protected bird species within the Mahavavy-Kinkony Wetlands Complex (NAP CMK). The flamingos, the sacred Ibis of Madagascar and the Fisherman's Eagle are not to be missed.

During the few days of safari, you will be accommodated in an exceptional place in Namakia. The bird's fiefdom is spread over 300,000ha, a natural environment unique in the world where birds concentrate to live freely.
